Removing the Starter Motor on an Opel Astra

Removing a broken starter motor from an Opel Astra engine? Here’s how to do it from the engine bay. Lift the bonnet and disconnect the starter motor power terminals using a socket spanner. Access the starter motor and undo the securing bolts with a socket spanner. Disconnect the various electrical cables and remove the starter motor from the engine bay. Secure the new starter motor by connecting the power cables and the associated securing bolts. Move all cables and hoses to properly secure the part. Reconnect the battery terminals and all its components. Work from underneath the car for the installation.
