Removing the Gear Gaiter on a Vectra

How to remove the leather gaiter covering the gear lever? This is an easy operation, let's see how to do it. Detach the gaiter frame from the plastic covering on the centre tunnel, lift it, and cut the plastic tie with a pair of wire cutters. Remove the knob to eliminate the leather gaiter. Fit the gaiter to the knob and then onto the gear stick, securing the gaiter to the plastic frame until it clicks into place within the plastics of the centre tunnel. Test the correct operation of the gearbox with the new gaiter and check the fitting of all plastics on the centre tunnel.
