Removing the Gear Knob from an Opel Vectra

If the gear knob is broken, here's how to remove, repair, or replace it. Take the knob in your hands and twist it left and right until it comes off the gear stick. Use a plastic lever to detach the leather gaiter trim (if it needs replacing). For reassembly, fit the new leather gaiter with the clips (if removed), then take the new knob and push it onto the stick in the central tunnel until it is secured. If you want to repair the faulty knob, you can use plastic glue to carry out the repair.
