Complete Cleaning of Dirty Front Headlights

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

If the headlight glass becomes cloudy and there is dirt ingress inside, complete removal of the headlight assembly is necessary for thorough cleaning. Open the bonnet and unscrew the headlight retaining screws with a spanner. Carefully remove the headlight, taking care with the cables, which must be disconnected from the connector. Once the cover is removed, take out the complete headlight unit. Dismantle the front glass and, using a drill fitted with a cloth or sponge wheel, proceed with complete cleaning. Refit the headlight and check the lamp operation and correct alignment.
