To replace the gear knob of the Opel Astra, remove the internal cover of the ashtray located directly in front of the gear lever. Once the cover is removed, lift the base of the leather gaiter from the bottom. After raising the gaiter, detach the retaining ring on the lever so that the knob and gaiter can be completely removed. After removal, insert a new knob with the corresponding gaiter, and reinsert the ashtray cover.
