Replacement of Rear Headlamp Bulb

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

Removing the rear headlamp is very simple and quick to do. Once the rear bonnet is opened, locate a plastic grille positioned directly in front of the rear headlamp; remove this grille by opening the corresponding retaining tab. At this point, disconnect the power connector and unscrew the two plastic nuts that secure the lamp to the bodywork; it is now possible to remove the headlamp from its housing by pulling it outwards. If you wish to inspect the bulbs and possibly replace them, simply release the bulb holder by opening the corresponding retaining tabs.
