How to Replace the Spark Plugs on an Opel Corsa 1.2 Diesel

Replace the spark plugs on your Opel Corsa. Remove the plastic engine cover, which is held in place by clips, then disconnect the coil wiring. Using a T45 Torx key, remove the bolts securing the coil. Now, take out the spark plugs with a 16 mm socket and a special tool to extract them from their housing. Now take the new spark plugs (a kit of 4 spark plugs costs around £20 from major e-commerce chains). The video recommends inserting a piece of paper into the socket during installation to create a spacer to prevent the spark plug from falling into the housing, as it can be very difficult to retrieve and handle. When tightening the spark plug, do not over-tighten, as it is aluminium and you risk damaging the thread. Now you can refit the coil by screwing in the Torx screws, reconnect the wiring, and replace the plastic cover. The job is complete.
