To replace the poly-v belt (or serpentine belt), first safely lift the vehicle; do not rely on your jack. Remove the front right wheel and the front right arch liner, then pull the tensioner pulley of the belt sideways and remove it, taking care to note how it was anchored. You can find a new poly-v belt for about £13.00 on major e-commerce platforms. Be careful to ensure the correct rotation direction when refitting. Pull the tensioner pulley of the belt sideways to achieve the correct tension. Now you can refit the arch liner and wheel and lower the vehicle. The job is complete.
