To replace the gear knob on an Opel Adam, lift the entire plastic panel that surrounds the lever to access the components underneath. Specifically, you will need to lift the leather gaiter to access the clip located at the base of the lever.

By removing this clip, you can detach the knob from the gear lever and replace it with a new spare part. The new knob should then be attached to the hook, repositioning the gaiter and cover around the lever.
