How to replace the remote control battery on the Opel Corsa D?

To replace the remote control battery on the Opel Corsa D, lift the emergency key by pressing the designated button on the top of the device. This will allow you to pry inside the key housing, detaching the front plastic cover of the remote and accessing the underlying battery. This can now be extracted from its housing and replaced with a new spare part; after installation, close the remote with its cover and lower the emergency key.
