Replacing the Exhaust Manifold Gasket

Before applying the new gasket to the exhaust manifold, it is essential to thoroughly clean the gasket seating, both on the cylinder head side and the manifold side: remove any dirt and deposits that could compromise the adhesion and sealing of the gasket. Once cleaning is complete, insert the new gasket (it is metallic) aligning it correctly with the exhaust ports, then insert the manifold (no sealant is required) and tighten the fixing bolts in a criss-cross pattern using a torque wrench.
