When you have to redo the cylinder head gasket, you have to practically disassemble the entire upper part of the engine and during the assembly phase it is absolutely essential to replace all the gaskets: there is in fact on the market the emery series gasket kit which practically also includes all the gaskets of the cylinder head assembly, the valve oil seals and generally also the valve cover gasket. Before proceeding with the assembly of the cylinder head, it is advisable to check the perfect flatness of the surface that has just been ground (use a ground bar and a thickness gauge for valves: max tolerance 0.05 allowed) and replace the valve guide oil seals. Then start applying the various fittings, flanges and manifolds by inserting the new gaskets; if you go over the threads of the head fixing holes on the cylinder base, pay attention so that chip residues do not end up in the cylinders; apply the new cylinder head gasket and then the cylinder head itself, tightening suitably. In this case, the camshaft with the relative oil seals and the timing belt are also replaced.
