First, remember to work with a cold engine to avoid various issues. Place a collection tray under the engine of the vehicle. Remove the drain plug to completely drain the fluid. Then, replace the plug. Remove the old oil filter. You can then add the correct amount of oil to the reservoir (as specified in the vehicle's manual) and finally proceed to reset the service light.
