Vauxhall Corsa - Video tutorial
Model: Vauxhall Corsa
Corsa D
- Years 2006-2014 In this video tutorial we can see how it is possible to replace the front shock absorbers on an Opel Corsa D by following a few simple steps; the first thing to do is to get into the car, turn off the car and pull the handbrake. Lift the front bonnet and secure it with the appropriate rod. Loosen the bolts of the front wheels, then lift the front of the vehicle, with a hydraulic jack and put the safety stands; once the front of the car has been lifted, we must completely unscrew the wheel bolts and remove the wheels (place the wheels under the vehicle). To disassemble the front shock absorbers you have to disassemble the windshield frame, then you have to remove the covers of the windshield arm nuts and unscrew the nuts with a size 13 wrench. Remove the windshield arm with small movements from top to bottom. Remove the frame gasket, then remove the plastic cover and disconnect the windshield supply hose. Now you need to unlock and remove the upper head of the stabilizer link (use a size 17 wrench and a socket with a size 17 insert). Remove the ABS sensor cable from the shock absorber. Use an 18 wrench and an 18 socket to loosen the screws holding the shock absorber. Remove the brake hose from its housing and detach the shock absorber. (Continue watching the video).

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
