To open the bonnet of an Opel Astra when the cable is broken, insert a thin object under the bonnet. Using this object, move the latch located centrally. Once the latch has been moved, you can unlock the bonnet mechanism: by applying downward pressure, you can fully release it so that it can then be lifted. Once the bonnet is unlocked and lifted, you can secure it with the prop rod.
