How to Open the Bonnet of an Opel Astra

Learn how to open the front engine bonnet of your Opel Astra. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard (left-hand drive), then lift the bonnet slightly and pull the release lever to the left. Once the bonnet is released, lift it upwards and secure it with the prop rod. Now that the engine bonnet is open, you can carry out your necessary maintenance. To close the bonnet, remove the prop rod and let the bonnet drop down from a minimal height. Ensure it is properly closed.
