Here’s how to adjust the handbrake on an Opel Corsa: Enter the cabin and remove the cover that conceals the handbrake mechanism. This can be done easily by hand, without any specific tools. Once you have lifted the cover, you will see a small lever. This is the handbrake adjuster. Pull the handbrake lever all the way down, remove the adjuster cap, then use a 10mm spanner to tighten the nut until it feels right, testing to see if it is correct, as it may have been tightened too much; it should click at least three times before feeling tension. If all is well, replace the cap over the screw, then pull down the boot, replace it, and the job is done.
