How to Remove the Airbag from the Steering Wheel of the Opel Insignia

In this video, see how to remove the airbag from the steering wheel of the Opel Insignia: turn the steering wheel fully to the right until you see a small hole at the back. Insert a small screwdriver and press firmly while lifting at the same time. Now turn the steering wheel to the opposite side. You will find a matching hole where you will perform the same operation. The central airbag lock at the centre of the steering wheel will detach from its support. All that’s left is to disconnect the two electrical connectors, gently using the same screwdriver. If you need to remove the steering wheel as well, you will need an appropriately sized Allen key to enter the central hole and remove the steering wheel from the steering column.
