How to remove the airbag of an Opel Insignia MK1

In this video, we will see how to disassemble the airbag of the Opel Insigna MK1: first, we need to rotate the steering wheel so that the wheels are completely turned. In this way, we will see that there are two small holes on the back of the steering wheel: we will first enter one of them with a small screwdriver, thus opening the retaining spring. We rotate the steering wheel in the opposite direction and in this way we will find the same hole on the other side. We repeat the operation so that we can also open the retaining spring from the opposite side. At this point, we can easily remove the airbag by disconnecting the electrical connectors that still hold it to the steering wheel. If we also want to remove the steering wheel, we will need to get a large key, the size of the central screw, in order to unscrew it.
