How to Change the Key Battery on the Opel Astra J

If pressing the lock and unlock buttons on the remote key does not activate the locks, it is likely that the remote battery is flat. Replacing it on this key model is extremely simple as there is a specific cap at the battery compartment, so you do not need to disassemble the entire remote. Simply lever the edge of the rear cap of the shell to release it and access the battery compartment, then proceed with the replacement.
