How to Replace the Gear Knob on the Opel Astra

Remove the trim at the base of the gear lever using a plastic lever to avoid damaging the surrounding parts. This will allow you to remove the lower gaiter of the gear lever and lift it upwards. Next, grip the gear lever by the knob and start to twist and pull it towards you to extract it. Once these steps are completed, you can install the new parts, including the gear lever, its knob, and protective gaiter. Retrace your steps to reassemble.
