In this video, we can see how to replace the thermostat on an Opel Corsa B. First, open the coolant reservoir and lift the vehicle with a jack, then drain the coolant into a suitable container; dispose of it at an authorised centre. Lower the car and remove the hose leading to the air filter, then loosen the clips on the coolant hoses.

Clean the thermostat housing thoroughly and then remove the upper part. Take off the gasket and clean the seating area.

Replace the upper part of the thermostat, inserting a new gasket as well: the thermostat can be found on eBay with code 391156736153 for £13.19 plus £15.19 delivery. The flange is also available on eBay with code 203520734722 for £34.90, with free delivery.
