In this video, the YouTuber deals with an anti-pollution error that appears on the display of a Peugeot 308: he decides to personally check the sensor by removing it and inspecting for any issues. On this vehicle, the sensor is easily accessible and can be removed with ease. By opening the bonnet, you will see that it is located just below the oil dipstick. Place some paper to absorb any potential spills, disconnect the electrical connector, and unscrew the bolt holding the sensor in place; by turning it slightly, you can remove it quite easily. Once on the bench, clean it with a degreaser, including the inside with the help of a syringe, and in the side holes, to ensure it is perfectly clean from all sides. When it is clean, reinsert it into its housing, which you will have cleaned with a bit of paper wrapped around a screwdriver. Apply some clean oil to the sensor gasket and put it back in place. Refit the bolt and then the electrical connector, and you are done; check the engine light: it is off!
