Oil change and filter replacement for Peugeot 308 II diesel.

In this video, we will see how to change the oil and filter on the Peugeot 308 II diesel: we open the hood and the oil filler cap, then we lift the front of the car, removing the lower engine protection, in order to access the drain plug of the sump, and immediately provide ourselves with a large basin to collect the used oil, which we will then dispose of correctly at an authorized center. To access the filter, we need to remove two air ducts as shown in the video, in order to see the oil filter, which is located underneath. Using a 27 socket wrench, we unlock the oil filter flange, turning it counterclockwise and remove it, letting it drain into a basin for liquid recovery. We remove the filter cartridge and replace it, then we remove the gasket and put the new one in its place, which we will have greased with clean oil, then we put the filter back in place and tighten it to 25 Nm. We put the two air ducts back in place. We close the oil drain plug with a new cap and a new gasket, and then we put the engine protection back in place. Now we fill the oil with the type recommended by the manufacturer, refilling to 90% of the recommended quantity. We run the engine for a few minutes and then measure the oil level, after letting the engine cool for a few minutes. We adjust the quantity until the level is just below the "max" mark. We have finished our work.
