How to solve the problem of turn signals on the Peugeot 407

Let's see how to solve the anomaly of the turn signals on the Peugeot 407: it is a rather common problem on this car, where the warning light indicating "turn signal anomaly" comes on, and the turn signals flash faster than normal. The error message appears intermittently, during braking, or in reverse. The bulb is almost never burnt out, and it works correctly. The problem is the oxidized connectors, moisture and oxide, so it is a physical problem, an electrical connector that makes poor contact and not a complex electronic fault. The problem can therefore be solved in a few minutes with a specific product, such as WD-40. We open the trunk and remove the fabric covers to access the back of the rear lights, disconnect the electrical connectors, generously spray the spray on both the cable connector and the bulb socket, in order to remove the oxide and restore conductivity. We reconnect the connectors and repeat for the other side. It is an operation that can solve the problem for a long time.
