In this video, we will see how to replace the battery of a Peugeot 3008 MK1: the battery is located in the engine compartment, on the left side of the engine bay, which is in front of the driver (left-hand drive). On hybrid models, there are two batteries; the traction battery, which is orange, for the electric motor and is high voltage (we should not touch it for any reason), and the common 12-volt battery that is used for starting and electronics, which we will be dealing with. It is advisable, before performing this operation, to equip yourself with a small battery maintainer: we can find it on AliExpress with the code 1005010179346077 for the price of 14.79, with free delivery for orders over 20 euros. First, we disconnect the negative terminal, then the positive one, unscrew the nut of the mounting bracket, and remove the old battery. We clean the tray and position the new battery, making sure it is oriented like the old one. We secure the locking bracket, connect the positive terminal first, then the negative one, reassemble the cover, start the car, and take it for a test drive.
