You can adjust the handbrake on the Peugeot 207 by using a tool like a screwdriver to pry off the cover at the rear of the tunnel. Once the panel is removed, locate the nut that allows for the handbrake adjustment.

Tightening this nut will make the handbrake lever heavier and reduce its travel; conversely, loosening the nut will make the lever lighter and increase its travel. After the adjustment is complete, refit the panel at the rear of the tunnel.
