Finally, Peugeot has decided to enter the increasingly popular world of full electric vehicles by presenting a model of the new 208 powered exclusively by batteries. The 50 kWh battery promises a range of 211 miles in "eco" mode, with charging times varying from 8 hours on 7.4 kW single-phase chargers, 5 hours on 11 kW three-phase chargers, and thanks to the 100 kW CCS Combo connector, rapid charging is possible, allowing an 80% increase in about half an hour. This version is also equipped with a slider that allows you to select three different driving modes: Eco/Normal/Sport. In sport mode, at the expense of range, the car provides a more responsive performance that rivals its petrol and diesel counterparts. Inside, the car features a fairly futuristic look characterised by a unique 3D holographic instrument panel that allows you to monitor all the car's parameters, along with various advanced infotainment systems that enable you to manage the electronics and monitor consumption. Additionally, you can manage the infotainment and check parameters remotely via smartphone using a dedicated app. Overall, the car is spacious and well-built with an innovative and attractive look that is sufficient to compete with rivals in the same category.
