Let’s see how to activate or deactivate the emergency automatic braking (AEBS) on the Peugeot 2008 II. From the main menu, select "applications", then enter the "ADAS" (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) menu. Select "functions" and locate the "automatic braking system" (or active safety brake/Collision risk alert). Activate or deactivate it using the on-screen switch. Remember that deactivation is not permanent and resets on the next vehicle restart due to an EU directive, which does not allow a definitive "off" from the user menu. Permanent deactivation is possible via a diagnostic tool with specific software, but is highly discouraged for safety reasons.
