Clean the area with a degreaser and apply a high-build primer. After drying (e.g., 20 minutes at 60°C), sand with 400 grit on a block and finish with an orbital sander. Apply the base coat in light layers, drying with a hairdryer. Finish with a coat of clear lacquer and a light fade on the edges. After drying, polish the bumper for a uniform result. A patient job that restores the car to a like-new appearance.
