Let's see how to activate and deactivate the Start & Stop system on the latest versions of the Peugeot 208, where the physical button has been removed and access is only through the multimedia system. After turning it on, touch the car icon, select "vehicle settings", and look for the "Start & Stop" function. If it is green, the system is active; if it is grey with an orange icon on the dashboard, then the system is deactivated. Just touch to change the state of the function. Deactivation only lasts until the engine is turned off, as it is a default setting. There is no (legally) way to permanently deactivate it without external technical modifications, which is why the physical button has been removed. If you find it annoying, you can select the "sport" driving mode, which automatically deactivates it.
