How to Change the Battery of a Peugeot 206 Remote

Replace the remote battery when it is flat. Take your remote and use a screwdriver to remove the tiny retaining screw that secures the two covers. Pry between the two until the two halves separate, then extract the worn battery with a screwdriver, and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Refit the cap onto the remote key cover until you hear the locking click. Check the remote's proper functioning by pressing the buttons to open and close the doors. If it doesn’t work, you will need to disassemble the remote.
