Gear Oil Change and Flush

Part of the maintenance involves flushing and replacing the oil in the gearbox. Lift the vehicle on a ramp. Unscrew the oil plug located on the gearbox sump and let it drain into a suitable container. Add the flushing additive and use the appropriate equipment to perform a thorough flush, then let it drain. After flushing, remove the oil sump where you may notice metallic residues on the magnets. Replace the sump with a new one that also contains the filter. Refill the gearbox with the correct amount of the specified oil. Check the engine oil level and perform a road test with the vehicle to ensure that any issues related to the automatic gearbox have been resolved.
