To remove the gear gaiter from a Peugeot 508, unclip the lower part of the trim, disengaging it from its fixing clips. Next, grip the gear knob and pull it upwards, tilting it forwards and backwards to facilitate extraction. Once the cover is removed, the gaiter trim, which is connected to the knob itself, will also come off. When these two pieces are removed, you can insert the new gaiter, securing it with its clips. After inserting the gaiter, you can also fit the new knob, securing it at the top of the gear lever.
