How to Replace the Gear Gaiter of the Peugeot 308?

To replace the gear gaiter of the Peugeot 308, use a tool to lift the plastic cover located just below the climate control switches. Then, pull off the gear knob simply by tugging it and lift the plastic surrounding the gear gaiter, disengaging its retaining clips. This will allow you to remove the gaiter; be careful of the spring inside, which must be removed and placed on the lever. At this point, install the new gaiter, securing it with its retaining clips and reinserting the previously removed knob.
