How to Replace the Spark Plugs on a Peugeot 207 1.4 16V Petrol

With the engine off, pull the handbrake and the bonnet release lever to open it. Now you can access the engine cover, which you need to remove to access the spark plugs. Use a socket with a 10mm insert to remove the two nuts on one side. Disconnect the electrical supply to the coils. To do this, lift the support tab of the connector, then pull on the terminal. Remove the intake duct to do this. Push on the yellow part of each clip by hand, and if you can't, use a flat screwdriver. Remove the coil block. Tip: it is advisable to use a thin plastic tube attached to a vacuum cleaner to clean well around the spark plug housing. Use a socket with a long extension and a 14mm spark plug insert to unscrew the spark plug. It is recommended to unscrew the spark plugs one at a time to avoid letting dirt fall into the engine. Take the new spark plug and fit it. Insert it first into the socket to present it in its support where it needs to be screwed in. Start screwing in by hand, then finish with a spanner and finally tighten a quarter turn. You can use a torque wrench to tighten according to the torque specification indicated by the manufacturer, or you can also use a protractor. Repeat the operation with the other spark plugs. Proceed to reassemble all parts in reverse order.
