Peugeot 208 - Video tutorial

Model: Peugeot 208 MK 1, A9 - Years 2012-2019
Part: Anti roll bar
Operation: How to replace the stabilizer bar links in a Peugeot 208

In this video tutorial we can see how it is possible to replace the stabilizer bar links in a Peugeot 208, following some basic steps: the first thing to do is to turn off the vehicle and put the handbrake; loosen the wheel bolts, using a socket wrench for wheel nuts N.17, (loosen without completely unscrewing them); lift the front of the car using a hydraulic jack and place safety stands under the vehicle. Next step we must completely unscrew the wheel bolts and remove the wheel from its seat. Clean the stabilizer bar tie rod fasteners, using a wire brush and WD-40 spray. Use a No. 16 socket wrench to unscrew the fasteners that connect the stabilizer bar link to the bar; then remove the cross stabilizer link. If necessary, replace the stabilizer support sleeves. Install the new bar and tighten the fasteners that connect the stabilizer bar link to the bar (use a torque wrench up to a torque of 60 Nm). Tighten the fasteners that connect the stabilizer bar link to the shock strut; use copper grease to treat stabilizer bar joints.
