How to Change the Oil in the Hydraulic Pump of a Peugeot 207 CC Sunroof

Model: Peugeot 207 MK 1 - Years 2006-2015

The sunroof is a delicate component and can be temperamental. Even when opening, your 207 cabrio may give malfunction messages, as the bonnet might not close, interrupting the opening process. The issue could be electrical or related to the hydraulic pump, which may have low oil or degraded oil. This scenario is much more likely than an electrical fault, so try changing the oil in the pump before spending money on a replacement. A recommendation: use only oil specifically designed for this purpose, preferably from the manufacturer. You can easily find it on all major e-commerce platforms. Protect the area where you are working with a cloth or cardboard, loosen the clamp, and carefully detach the reservoir. Empty the oil into a suitable container - which you will then dispose of at an authorised centre - clean the oil container and pump thoroughly to remove any residues. Now pour the new oil into the container, reattach it to the pump with its clamp. Refit the entire pump into its housing. Check that the sunroof now operates correctly. The job is complete.
