How to Replace the Thermostat on a Peugeot 308

The thermostat valve on the Peugeot 308 is quite visible and easily accessible. It is located just above the gearbox. Replacing it is important because a faulty thermostat valve prevents proper temperature regulation inside the cabin. This is a straightforward job. It is positioned on the side, under a small cover, and to remove it from its housing, simply take out 4 bolts. To work on it, you need to remove the air intake hose, but that can be easily reattached. Refit the thermostat valve, tighten the bolts, replace the cover, and reattach the air hose. Job done.
