Peugeot 2008 - Video tutorial

Model: Peugeot 2008 MK 2 - Years 2019-2024
Part: Outside rearview mirror
Operation: How does the blind spot on the Peugeot 2008's side mirror work?

In this video, we see how the blind spot detector in the external rearview mirror of the Peugeot 2008 works: when we start the vehicle, the orange dots on both mirrors should light up. We can check its functionality on the multimedia screen by pressing the "auto" button, then the "safety" screen, and finally the "blind spot monitoring" submenu, which should be set to "ON". The light on the mirror turns on when a passing car is in the blind spot, meaning it is not visible from either the external or internal mirror. The system works if our vehicle's speed is between 12 and 140 km/h, and the passing vehicle must do so within a range of 25 km/h difference. It does not work with long vehicles (for obvious reasons) and for the same reason, it does not work in heavy traffic conditions.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
