To remove the mirror from the external mirror on a Peugeot 2008, use a plastic or rubber-coated lever to pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror glass. Pry until the mirror detaches from one side (disconnect the power cable if it has a demister); this operation is delicate as the glass or the mirror itself may break. Unscrew the screws with a screwdriver to detach the mirror cover (if present), and replace the damaged part with a new one. Ensure the plastic clips snap into the mirror supports.
