Instructions for Removing the Driver's Airbag

If the horn does not work and the airbag warning light remains on, it could be a simple contact issue caused by oxidation, or a fault in the spiral cable integrated into the light switch; start by disconnecting the airbag by inserting a screwdriver into the appropriate holes behind the spokes of the steering wheel to press and release the retaining springs; once the airbag is disconnected and the relevant connectors are unplugged, clean the contacts inside the steering wheel plate before removing the steering wheel and the light switch; at this point, check the continuity of the internal ribbon before refitting it: if broken, it will need to be replaced and attempting to repair it is not recommended.
