Repairing and Resetting Airbag Faults

If the airbag warning light remains on the vehicle display, the first step is to check the fault memory with a diagnostic tool, even a generic one. Once you select the make and model of the vehicle, start the fault search in the airbag system and check the codes and descriptions: in this case, the faults concern the passenger airbag activation switch (disconnected connector) and the seatbelt pre-tensioners, both driver and passenger sides. This is a case of a faulty connection of the connectors: it is suggested to remove them and solder the wires directly, paying attention to the correspondence since the colours are the same. Then leave the connectors connected and solder one wire at a time, applying heat-shrink tubing.
