A countdown will appear on the display. Wait until it finishes; otherwise, you will need to repeat the process.

Once the countdown resets, release the button and note the mileage at which you want the maintenance indicator to reappear. Always set the indicator to a lower mileage to avoid exceeding the time since the last maintenance.
