The electric handbrake on a Peugeot 308 model 2 must be engaged or disengaged using the button located in the lower central part of the dashboard. The button displays the letter "P", which lights up red when the brake is active and remains white when it is deactivated.

To activate the electric handbrake, slightly lift the button and press the brake pedal. To deactivate the handbrake, press the button downwards and push the brake pedal.

If a warning light comes on, take the vehicle to a workshop for brake maintenance.
