Replacement of the rear shock absorbers of the Peugeot 308 MK1

To replace the rear shock absorbers of the Peugeot 308, lift the rear wheel with a jack and insert a jack stand, remove the wheel and place it under the car. Spray some loosening agent on the lower screw of the shock absorber and unscrew it, unscrew the two screws of the upper cup and remove the shock absorber. Take the new shock absorber, trigger it by pressing vertically on the stem, mount the dust cover and the cup by tightening it with its nut using two keys and finishing with a torque wrench. Install the new assembly starting from the two upper nuts that we will finish tightening with the torque wrench. Insert the bolt into the lower attachment, lift it with a jack and finish tightening with the torque wrench. Put the wheels back on, lower the car and repeat the operation on the other side.
