To replace the mirror cap on a Porsche 911, use a flat object like a screwdriver to pry at the back of the mirror glass. This will allow you to fully detach the glass and access the screws that secure the cap from the inside.

Once the screws are removed, the cap can be taken out of its housing. After the old cap is removed, insert the new one to secure it in place.

After installing the new cap, also secure the glass.
