To replace the external side mirror on a Dodge Ram 1500, first remove the triangular plastic cover located near the mirror. Once removed, unscrew the screws that secure the door panel, which are located near the inner handle and along the side of the panel.

After removing the panel, disconnect the cable connected to the mirror, then unscrew the screws that hold it in place. Loosening these screws will allow you to pull the mirror out from the outside and replace it with a new replacement part.
