How to Replace the Rear Brake Rotor and Pads on the RAM ProMaster 1500 Mk1

This guide shows how to replace the rear brake pads and rotors on the RAM ProMaster 1500 Mk1. After removing the tire and safely lifting the vehicle, remove the two 14 mm bolts that secure the brake caliper and take off the piece. Pull out the old brake pads and remove the two mounting bolts of the brake caliper bracket. Remove the two guide pins using a 12 mm wrench from the face of the brake rotor. Using a hammer, remove the worn component. After cleaning the area of debris, install the new brake rotor and secure it with the two pins. On the brake caliper bracket, install the new pad guides and reassemble it in place. Install the new pads by greasing the contact ends and push the caliper piston back before reinstalling it. Tighten the brake caliper onto the bracket and connect the brake wear sensor. Reinstall the tire and check the proper functioning of the braking system before hitting the road.
