How to Replace the Front Brakes on the Dodge Ram 1500 Mk4

This guide shows how to replace the front brakes on the Dodge Ram 1500 Mk4. The first step is to unscrew the wheel mounting bolts, safely lift the vehicle, and remove the wheel. Using a 13 mm wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the brake caliper and loosen the piston using a lever. Hang the brake caliper in a way that does not damage the hydraulic line. Remove the two brake pads and take out the caliper bracket. Remove the retaining washer from the rotor and extract it; use a hammer to tap between the mounting bolts if necessary. Clean the brake housing at the hub, the caliper bracket, and the new brake rotor. Install the brake rotor, caliper bracket, and lubricated brake pads in position. Push the caliper pistons back using the appropriate tool. Install the component and reassemble everything. At this point, the operation is complete.
